Description: A pollen wasp (Pseudomasaris vespoides) in a flower of the Royal Penstemon (Penstemon spectabilis). The clubbed antennae, which are one of the features that distinguish Pseudomasaris from other wasps, were clearly visible in the field. P. vespoides is a Penstemon specialist.
