Description: A male Neon Skimmer, Libellula croceipennis, at pHake Lake. Although this photo is blurry, it clearly shows the key field marks for distinguishing this species from L. saturata, the Flame Skimmer -- males bright red with amber wing color only covering a quarter of the wing, halfway to the nodus.
