Description: A female Fontana Grasshopper, Trimerotropis fontana, on California Sagebrush, Artemisia californica, next to the little wash west of the drive. The blue hind tibia with a black base (the bent "knob" at the top) and a pale ring next to the base are among the field marks for this species.
